NoPhoto Andrew Courtney is an artist, teacher and activist for social change. The three hats he wears emerge from a life where making art meets a passion for teaching and a commitment to actions for global social change. For many years still photography was the glue for all of Courtney's work. Portfolios of photographs made in Sandinista Nicaragua, Viet Nam, Apartheid South Africa, Cuba and the Palestine Territories remain an important legacy of his craft and his world view. In recent years filmmaking has been the focus of his work.
NoPhoto Emily Perry has worked to co-edit our films since the inception of Red Hill Films. She also participates with the production work, contributing still photographs during filmed interviews.

As filmmakers we intend a direct collaboration with the subject and then the viewer. We want viewers to achieve a conversational relationship with the subjects of our films.

Our documentary film work focuses on some of the important issues of our time, such as opposition to war, the truth within the Middle East conflict, citizens' words on the streets, and the lives of refugees.

Much of our work has to do with countering assumptions and complacency. Our films give a voice to world people who are heroes of dissent, advocating for communities opposing power that entraps them. The films witness facts on the ground.
